One of my favorite stores to visit while in Seattle is Molbak’s. It’s an extraordinary home and garden store — the largest of which I have ever seen. During the holiday season, Molbak’s goes all out. They convert most of the store to holiday home and garden decor.

While in Seattle, we went to Molbak’s on a Saturday afternoon. My sister and her husband have a tradition of taking their kids to Molbak’s each year so they can pick out a new ornament for their tree. We ate lunch at their cafe (yes – they have a restaurant) and spent 3 hours looking around. I think that’s pretty amazing … with young kids and a husband … and no one complained. We didn’t even get a chance to see the entire store.
We started off looking at ornaments. Well … I’ve never seen such a collection of Christmas ornaments!
Christmas Ornaments
There are ornaments in every color imaginable and any theme you can think of…
They have several candy ornament displays.
Christmas Trees
And, there are Christmas trees in every section of the store decorated by theme and/or color scheme.
They even had an upside down tree … in blue and silver.
Christmas Home Decor
The store has many decorations for the home — for both indoor and outdoor.
Garden Store
The day we were at Molbak’s, they had a special displays of pointsettas. I have never seen so many different varieties of pointsettas!
And, there were beautiful hydrangeas everywhere. I wish I could have brought them back on the plane with me!
Hello there! My name is Kurt Dicus and I’m the manager of online marketing at Molbaks. I LOVE your pictures. Thanks for coming in. We love when people take pictures at the store… I love the picture of the kids in front of the poinsettia tree. Wonderful.
Kurt –
You work for a GREAT company!
So glad you liked the pics! The day we were there it was raining, so we didn’t make it outdoors. Next visit…

Hi I am Marlene from South Africa. I visited my daughter in Kirkland. She took me to Molbaks and I bought wonderful seeds there. We then had a look at the xmas display. I have never seen anything like this before. I especially love the white deer. I take happy memories and photos back to Cape Town and will be back next year especially this time to see the amazing sight. Keep the good works up! Will still upload my pictures but the ones taken by Lori is superiour. Love it
Marlene, isn’t Molbaks an incredible place? So glad you enjoyed the pictures!
I may never get to Seattle – so sad! How can we buy your beautiful Christmas ornaments? Do you have a catalog? Thank you.
Molbak’s is truly a unique shopping experience, especially during the holidays. I wish they had an online store. It’s best that you contact Molbaks directly to see if they have a catalog. You can find contact info on their website. http://www.molbaks.com.
